Sleep Yarns Facilitator Guidebook
Download PDF (3.6 MB)The Sleep Yarns Facilitator Guidebook is a free, culturally grounded resource designed to support meaningful sleep health conversations with First Nations people across Australia. Developed through the Sleep for Strong Souls program in partnership with the Kalkadoon community and artist Jacki Dunn, the guidebook features artwork representing important spirit families, animals, and totems. These images form the basis of the Sleep Yarns cards which are used to explore the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual significance of healthy sleep.
The guidebook provides practical guidance for educators, researchers, community organisations, and service providers on facilitating Sleep Yarns in safe, strengths-based ways, with options to adapt the activity for individual community needs. It is freely available to download and designed to support culturally informed, community-led sleep health education nationwide.
